Kamienna Góra

In this town the largest church we work with in Poland is located. We love to come here in this town. We often serve here by preaching in church. incidentally we support this church in their project in which they provide hot meals for the poor and homeless. Also they provide in some clothing then.

Once a year they also organise a big christmas dinner foor this group. We also support this event occasionally.

Every year we try to come here in spring for the school event. In this event we visit high schools to help teenagers in age 13-17 with lessons in conversation english. We are then allowed to organise these lessons in a relaxed and fun setting.

In the afternoon after school hours we then also organise a meeting n which we play fun games, listen to music etc. the kids me meet during the day are invited to come there if they want. We also share with them why we re there to help, what we believe and what motivates us to do so.

In the summer time we try to organise an outreach with a group of dutch churches.

This is taking place in the form of a market setting in the towns center. We offer there all kinds of fun things. We then try to evangelise among the people that came, and we invite them to the meetings we organise that evening.

Underneath you will find a short introduction from the pastor of the Pentecostal church  “Jeruzalem’ in Kamienna Gora.

In the town Kamienna Góra the pentacostal church “Jeruzalem” is located.  This is kind of the central church fort his region. The pastor is the founder of multiple churches, and besides his current church also the official pastor for the church in Boguszów-Gorce.

The names of this couple are Jacek & Barbara Zatyka. They have two adult kids named Natalia & Filip.

They live in the town Kamienna Góra which is located in the south-west of Poland in the province Lower-Silesia. Jacek is a pastor and missionary who has founded three churches in the south-west of Poland. The mother church now is in Kamienna Góra, and currently he still helps out in the last founded church in Boguszów Gorce. He is teaching and inspiring regarding mission work.

His motivation is coming from the big commandment and the teaching to love the lost soles.

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

Matt 9:37-38
Pastors couple Jacek and Basia Zatyka

He got involved with the help of, and people from the Netherlands through a missionary from the  Assemblies of God from the USA. He helped them to get in contact with a church from the Netherlands.
He was impressed most by the help from the Netherlands with the evangelistic events in the summer, which helped to reach new people and organise Alpha courses for them. They had a lot of impact locally.

Besides that he was also impressed by the visits of the MCAN students and all financial help to be able to give away Christmas presents to the people in need.

For the future he hopes that working together like this will continue, and especially that the area of working with youth can be expanded.

He would like to say something to the church in the Netherlands now;

Thank you very much for all the help that we have received so far (with special thanks to Björn and Melanie).
Poland, and especially this region really needs the missionary help.
There are a lot of superficially religious people here, but not many followers of Jesus.
We are asking the church in the Netherlands to help us spread the gospel in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.
